TRESCIMO Workshop

TRESCIMO Workshop on alternative ways to collect information for Smart Cities

One common feature of Smart Cities is its ability to collect information from the city, like for example the fullness level of a trash container or the density of traffic on roads.  Commonly this is done with a sensor that measures a physical magnitude which is related to the phenomena we want to know. This approach requires deploying the sensor, powering it somehow and connecting it to the network in order to collect the data. The TRESCIMO workshop will offer alternative approaches to obtain data about the city either avoiding the deployment of sensors or of the network used to collect the data. The TRESCIMO workshop will present several initiatives that implement the concept of infrastructureless Smart City.
