i2CAT will conduct the Hackathon, that will be held in Vilanova on the 3rd-4th of October.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Winners will obtain a grant between 10.000\u20ac and 15.000\u20ac.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

MED GAIMS project aims to revolutionize the tourist site experience by gamifying it, with both analog and digital applications. The project applies\u00a0game design to create experiences for tourists,<\/strong>\u00a0and as a result, gives a necessary competitive edge to the attractiveness of less-known sites.<\/p>\n

Under the broad thematic umbrella of\u00a0\u201cDiscovery\u201d<\/strong>, the games must help tourists to discover and experience a touristic spot beyond the simple observation. The idea is to encourage the creative freedom of entrepreneurs, creative workers, and game designers with a competition to offer 20 funded grants for game development at selected tourism sites (5 per partner country, i.e. Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Jordan).<\/p>\n

In Spain, the two selected destinations are the city center of Vilanova i la Geltr\u00fa and its seafront. The selected tourist spots are Museum V\u00edctor Balaguer, Casa Papiol, Pla\u00e7a de la Vila, Railway Museum, The Old Quarter, The Market, Espai Far, Passeig del Carme, Bunkers.<\/p>\n

Through the hackathons and Creatives Labs, each country will select 5 winner proposes. The Grant size will be between\u00a0<\/span>10,000-15,000 euros<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0per game, depending on the type of game (10.000 euros for analog games and 15.000 for digital games).<\/span><\/p>\n
