To revolutionize future conferences and communication, the i2CAT Foundation has developed the HoloMIT solution, a 3D holoconferencing system based on the capture, transmission, and representation of volumetric video in the form of a point cloud. HoloMIT allows 3D holoconferencing of several participants with a high level of detail both in capturing and visualizing natural objects.
HoloMIT is also a highly efficient solution. Combining various capture, compression, multi conferencing, and 3D representation components reduces the computational needs, information load, bandwidth, and cost of an end-to-end solution, offering a virtual and immersive experience much closer to reality.
