Dr. Miguel Catalan-Cid és Subdirector de la línia de recerca en Xarxes Sense Fil Definides per Software i Investigador Sènior a l’Àrea de Recerca d’Internet Mòbil d’i2CAT a Barcelona.

Treballa en tecnologies 5G i post-5G, centrant-se en arquitectura de xarxes, optimització de protocols i automatització intel- ligent. Té més de 15 anys d’experiència i ha participat en diversos projectes europeus i espanyols com a Investigador Principal, Cap de Paquet de Treball i Líder Tècnic.

Té experiència en Wi-Fi i sistemes cel- lulars, disseny de protocols, optimització i programació. És inventor d’una patent per millorar la qualitat de vídeo en entorns densos i ha contribuït a Neutroon, un spin-off d’i2CAT de xarxes privades 5G.

Doctor (2016) i màster (2008) per la UPC, interessat en O-RAN i optimitzacions basades en IA.
