Training course on 5G Technologies

The training course on 5G technologies, divided into 3 two-hour sessions, addresses companies that wish to become part of the 5G Catalan ecosystem. The assistants will learn about 5G in technology, business models, and use cases. 

COURSE PROGRAM

A technological approach to 5G

Monday, November 30 – 11 am to 1 pm

• Welcome (15 min)

Sr. Daniel Marco, General Director of Innovation and Digital Economy in the Government of Catalonia.

• 5G: motivations and needs, usage scenarios, and requirements. General architecture, principles of design, and basic technologies for a 5G system (40 min)

Speaker: Ramon Ferrús – Professor of the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at UPC. 

• Questions and feedback (10 min)

• Standardization and regulation: the spectrum for 5G. Illustrative use cases and current situation (45 min)
