Symposium on Electronic Crime Research 2023
15 November 2023
On the 15th of November, Albert Calvo and Nil Ortiz will present the paper “Achieving High-fidelity Explanations for Risk Exposition Assessment in the Cybersecurity Domain” at eCrime2023!
Understanding AI-driven systems is essential, especially when they are pivotal in critical decision-making, as in Cybersecurity. The focus on ‘explainability’ has gained significant traction as a fundamental aspect of comprehending these models, enhancing trust and accountability in data-driven systems.
In this paper, Albert Calvo, Nil Ortiz, Santiago Escuder Folch, Josep Escrig, Xavier Marrugat Plaza, and Jordi Guijarro explore a successful use case of a risk exposure assessment framework designed to reduce an organisation’s attack surface proactively. They introduce an explainable proxy built on the systematic evaluation of explanations, providing a rapid and reliable method for assessing explanations explicitly tailored for the cybersecurity domain.
