2023 IEEE International Workshop on Computer Aided Modeling and Design of Communication Links and Networks
6 November 2023 // 8 November 2023
The 2023 IEEE International Workshop on Computer-Aided Modeling and Design of Communication Links and Networks (IEEE CAMAD 2023) will be held from 6 to 8 November as a stand-alone event in Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland. This year IEEE CAMAD will focus on “Connected and Collective Intelligence for Beyond 5G and 6G Technologies”. IEEE CAMAD will host Workshops and Special Sessions, bringing together a diverse group of scientists, engineers, manufacturers and providers to exchange and share their experiences. In addition, the conference will also include keynote speeches, panel and demo sessions.
Within the conference, Muhammad Asad, researcher of the CyberSecurity & Blockchain research area at the i2CAT Foundation, will present the paper 6GENABLERS: A Holistic Approach to Establish Pervasive Trust in 6G Networks (Muhammad Asad, Adriana Fernández-Fernández, Hatim Chergui, Maxime Compastié, Mario Montagud, Sergi Fernández and Shuaib Siddiqui). The paper has been developed within the 6GENABLERS research project, which aims to transform 6G network management systems by leveraging the potential of three critical disruptive technologies—Artificial Intelligence (AI), Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), and Security. The paper provides a unique strategy for managing the 6G network, concentrating on three key areas:
- Zero-touch network management ultra automation and resource optimization, leveraging AI and Machine Learning (ML) as integral components of 6G systems.
- A smart 6G marketplace for mobile operators and resource/service providers underpinned by DLTs, enabling brokerless and immutable transactions.
- The development of trust and security models, policies, and mechanisms explicitly designed for 6G networks.
