The Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration has launched a new edition of the Dona TIC Awards to give visibility to women in the technological field and encourage young girls to study engineering and take leadership positions within this sector.
Moreover, this initiative aims to create new references to demonstrate that STEM disciplines are not an exclusively male world. The award tries to increase the presence of women, to recognize their essential role and to encourage participation and promote a digital society based on equality.
The call for applications is open until September 16 for the seven categories: Entrepreneur, Professional, Researcher, ICT Communicator, Revelation ICT Woman , ICT Student and Referential Initiatives.
For the first time, the Dona TIC Awards Gala will take place on October 8th, coinciding with Ada Lovelace’s Day, at the Sala Barts in Barcelona.
