The i2CAT Research Centre has participated in the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) congress, which took place from February 4 to 7. The centre presented its leadership in research applied to the audiovisual market locally and in Europe at the Generalitat de Catalunya pavilion.
Visitors to the i2CAT stand could test its holoportation technology, Holomit, through VR glasses that presented a 3D volumetric representation of an expert who explained three prominent use cases of the technology: commerce, health and business (HR).
i2CAT also presented its market-ready technologies at the stand of the Catalan company IQUADRAT and the Into Reality company booth. i2CAT and IQUADRAT, in cooperation with Brainstorm Multimedia, exhibited Holomit as part of a Metaverse demonstrator in 6G environments developed within the framework of the European 6G-BRICKS project. Into Reality showcased an on-demand demonstration of a multi-camera view of the Euphoria show that included i2CAT’s product Sync-X, in which viewers can choose from different cameras, and another demonstration of synchronised multi-screen content with a main screen (TV) and a second device (tablet, mobile).

The innovations that i2CAT presented during the congress are examples of the technology transfer process carried out at the centre, from the initial research phase to commercialising the resulting product, technology licensing to third parties or creating a spin-off company such as the recently announced Volum Technologies.
