César Cajas Parra is a Project Engineer at the i2CAT Foundation within the Software Networks (SN) Area. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, along with two Master’s degrees in Technology-based Business Management and Applied Telecommunications and Engineering Management.

He has contributed to several large-scale European and national R&D initiatives, including Horizon 2020 projects such as PALANTIR, the pan-European GEANT infrastructure, Horizon Europe/SNS JU projects such as 6GBRICKS and SUNRISE-6G, as well as Spanish national Cervera excellence programs including 6GDIFERENTE, OPEN-VERSO, and its extension 6GOPENVERSONET.

His current work extends into ETSI Software Development Groups (SDGs), actively contributing to open-source initiatives such as the Open Operator Platform (OOP) and OpenCAPIF. Within these ecosystems, he has contributed to core software components and APIs, including the development of Open SDK modules that form part of the OOP framework.

His technical focus lies in software engineering for networked systems, API design, automation, and network security, with hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Git, and GitLab. He operates at the intersection of research and engineering, translating complex telecommunications concepts into scalable and production-grade software solutions for next-generation (5G/6G) network environments.
