Andrea Aler Tubella

Andrea Aler Tubella is a Senior R&I European Specialist in i2CAT's RISE team, which drives the center's research and competitive funding strategies. Her primary responsibility is shaping the center's Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy, ensuring that research directions are closely aligned with European funding priorities and societal needs.

Andrea holds a degree in Mathematics and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bath. Before joining i2CAT, her career in academia focused on Responsible AI research and teaching fundamental concepts in computer science and machine learning.

Her professional passion lies in responsible innovation and developing technology that delivers tangible benefits to all members of society.
