Joan Sales Florit

Lawyer registered with the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) since 2018 and currently Head of Procurement in the Legal and Public Procurement Department at i2CAT. I manage and oversee procurement procedures, provide legal support to the different areas of the centre, and assume the legal responsibilities inherent to my department.

My professional career has focused mainly on administrative law, with a specialization in public procurement, while also covering other fields such as regulatory law, sanctions law, and urban planning. I have led the processing of European funds managed by the centre in recent years, as well as the entity’s defence before oversight and contracting bodies.

I have developed my career in both the private sector, in law firms, and the public sector, under the Economic, Financial and Legal Directorate of other contracting authorities.

This dual perspective has given me a versatile viewpoint and a solid understanding of the value of public-private collaboration. I am particularly motivated to help transform this collaboration into innovative services, solutions, and products that generate added value and social and economic impact.
