Dual-use technologies will take centre stage at the 2026 Sant Gabriel Day. This year’s event will focus on technologies developed for civilian applications that can also serve the security and defence sectors.
Against a backdrop of new geostrategic challenges and the need to strengthen European technological sovereignty, Catalonia has a great opportunity to boost its ecosystem of ICT companies, research centres and professionals. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, photonics, quantum communications, and satellite networks are among the areas that will be the focus of discussion at this year’s event.
This approach will make St Gabriel’s Day a forum for analysing the challenges and opportunities these technologies present for the country's future and the ICT sector.
