Optimisation of the water cycle in residential environments using Artificial Intelligence

Sustainability

The hlhAigua project seeks to optimise the management of water and energy consumption in residential environments. To this end, it will identify patterns of water use in homes and detect anomalies—such as leaks or faults in measuring devices—using algorithms based on artificial intelligence (AI) and consumption data from each household.

The project will use energy and hot and cold water consumption data collected every 7 minutes, supplemented by surveys of users’ habits and perceptions, to offer personalised recommendations to improve water and energy efficiency. The ultimate goal is to make users aware of their water footprint and facilitate the management and maintenance of spaces, thereby contributing to sustainability and cost reduction in homes.
