Daniel Camps Mur (male) is currently leading the Mobile and Wireless Internet Group (MWI) and coordinating the 5G R&D activities at the I2CAT Foundation. The MWI group's interest lie generally in the wireless domain. MWI also investigates architectures and algorithms to improve the capacity of mobile communication networks, focusing here on 802.11, LTE and 5GNR based access networks and on the application of logically centralized SDN protocols to improve performance and manageability of the wireless access. MWI also works on V2X communications, including the development of ETSI G5 stacks and associated services. Daniel is also been very active in H2020 projects, acting as technical coordinator of the 5G-XHaul and 5G-CLARITY projects. Before working at I2CAT, Daniel was a researcher at NEC Networks Laboratories in Heidelberg, Germany, working on wireless networks, QoS, and standardization for wireless LANs.
