Ethan Sánchez Hidalgo is a Junior Research Scientist at the i2CAT Foundation focusing on the areas of Quantum Networks and AI for 6G. His primary responsibilities involve designing new entanglement distribution protocols in Quantum Networks and developing ML-driven network orchestration frameworks. He also contributes to deliverables for large-scale EU research projects such as SNS JU BEGREEN and ORIGAMI.
His work is driven by a specific set of technical skills:{*}{*} Python, C++, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), Quantum Computing (Pennylane, Qiskit), and Quantum Communications (NetSquid).
This expertise has led to measurable achievements, including a *Best Paper Award* at IEEE ICMLCN 2024. His academic background, with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and a Master's in Quantum Science and Technology, is complemented by practical experience as a Research Intern at NEC Laboratories Europe.
