R&D Engineer
Julia Igual is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She is currently working as an R&D engineer in the IoT research line within the Distributed AI research group at the i2CAT Foundation. She has been actively involved in developing IoT solutions for vehicle positioning through the implementation of local and global positioning systems using UWB (Ultra Wide-Band) and GPS-RTK, as well as their integration with other sensing elements. She has also collaborated on projects focused on developing ambient intelligence solutions using sensors and AI techniques applied to environment analysis. She is currently participating in the European project CUSTODES, which is focused on the security certification of IoT devices.
