Miguel Angel Veganzones

I have recently joined  i2CAT Foundation, a Research and Innovation CERCA Center located in Barcelona, as Research Director of the Distributed AI (DAI) group. The goal is to foster excellence in the research of AI frontier topics aiming at solving technological challenges with the potential to deliver innovative returns to society.My background is an entanglement between academics and high-tech companies. I have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and AI from the Basque Country University (EHU/UPV) and a long research career in applied computer science and AI. Since 2016, I have been creating, managing and developing high performance teams in the private sector, oriented to deliver value to the companies through efficient data management and innovative edge computer science and AI technologies. Often, this has led to steer and support the restructuring of the company's strategy, organization and processes.
