Toni Adame Vazquez
Toni Adame, M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering (UPC, 2009), is a Senior R&D Engineer at the IoT Research Group of i2CAT. His main research areas include low-power wireless networks, WiFi standards, multiple access communications, IoT systems integration, and cloud-edge-IoT continuum architectures. He is responsible for leading, designing and implementing technical solutions in EU (FP7, H2020 and Horizon Europe programmes), national, and regional R&D projects focused on IoT and heterogeneous wireless technologies.

Prior to joining i2CAT, he worked for more than eight years as an R&D Engineer in the Wireless Networks (WN) Research Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He also gained experience in the private IT sector as a pre-sales consultant in datacenter architecture at Tecnocom and as a project manager of IoT solutions at Cellnex. Lastly, he collaborates as an Associate Lecturer in several IT degrees at UPF and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).
