Xenia Torres Vilanova

As an Open Science and Knowledge Technician at i2CAT, my mission is to drive efforts to make the data and knowledge we generate findable, accessible, and reusable. My key responsibilities include:

• Defining and applying data governance, FAIR principles, and RDM best practices.
• Supporting research teams through the data lifecycle (RDM planning, repository deposit).
• Administering Jira (Data Center) for knowledge management, optimizing workflows and permissions.
• Generating reports and metrics from internal data to support decision-making.

I hold a Bachelor's in Information and Documentation (UB), with postgraduate diplomas in Document Management (UOC) and Open Science (UB). I am passionate about connecting processes and tools. Currently enrolled in the Master's in Data Science prep course (UOC) to apply data analysis and Python to the Open Science strategy.
