Francesc Betorz Martinez

Francesc Betorz is an Aerospace and Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia with extensive experience in systems engineering and space operations. He began his space career in 2011 as a systems engineer on the International Space Station flight control team, and in 2014 became Flight Director of the Columbus laboratory. In 2019, he joined Rocket Factory Augsburg’s guidance, navigation, and control department, where he developed the guidance and control algorithms for the RFA One launcher. Since 2023, he has been with Fundació i2CAT, where he leads the two ongoing satellite missions and serves as Head of Space Missions as well as Deputy Director of the Space Communications Research Group.
