Daily Programme

Tuesday, 2 June

  • Workshop Presentation: Daniel Camps (Technology Director) will present the ORAN Digital Twin developed by i2CAT within the SUNRISE-6G project (Workshop Sunrise on Digital Twins). This Digital Twin allows ORAN developers to benchmark their xApps and rApps in an environment that recreates a real network deployment.

Wednesday, 3 June

  • Special Session Chair: Xavier Costa-Pérez (Scientific Director) will chair the ISAC Special Session "Integrated Sensing and Communications Towards 6G". Building on the success of the 2025 edition, this session gathers leading European projects (INSTINCT, MultiX, 6G-DISAC, and the newly added 6G-GOALS) to bridge academic research and industrial standardization, featuring Alain Mourad (Chair of the ETSI ISG on ISAC) to outline convergence into the ETSI framework and 3GPP Release 20. 🔗 Link to Event
  • Paper Presentation: Joan Francesc Muñoz Martin (Director of the Space Communications Research Group) will present "Advancing NB-IoT NTN Readiness: Experimental Demonstration of a Smart Mobility Pilot in the Pyrenees", showcasing the first-ever operational NB-IoT NTN use case using the Minairó network provided by Sateliot with a complete edge deployment to monitor access to a natural park.
  • Paper Presentation: Arnau Dolz Puig (Researcher at the Space Communications Research Group) will present "Online Learning for Predictive Satellite Telemetry Analysis: Towards a Digital Twin for Constellation Management" (6GStarLab project), discussing ingestion and processing layers for a digital twin using real data, alongside an online machine-learning engine that identifies telemetry precursors to battery voltage anomalies.
  • Paper Presentation: Claudia Carballo González (Researcher of the Software Networks Research Group) will present the paper "An Evolved Open SDK for Federated 6G Testbeds Through the Open Operator Platform", detailing the architectural integration of the Open SDK within the SUNRISE-6G platform to support modular, cross-operator service deployment.
  • Project Progress Presentation: Joan Adrià Ruiz-de-Azúa (i2CAT Affiliated Researcher) will present progress on the 6GStarLab project, focusing on the system design to execute the various experiments and on the in-orbit results from the commissioning phase.

Thursday, 4 June

  • Poster Presentation: Ivan Huerta (Researcher at the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Group) will present the poster "Implementation of a V2X-Enabled Collective Perception Architecture for Urban Road Safety" (CERTAIN project), introducing a comprehensive framework for Collective Perception that leverages V2X communication and late data fusion to extend a vehicle's sensing range. 🔗 Link to Event
  • Paper Presentation: Julia Igual (Researcher at the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Group) will present a paper on the design and implementation of a robust, CRA-compliant Ambient Intelligence system developed within the CUSTODES project.

Friday, 5 June

  • Convened Session: Pouria Sayyad Khodashenas (Director of the Software Networks Research Group) will participate in "The NetworldEurope Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda 2026 – Chapter 3 (Softwarization and intelligence in Networks)", addressing the evolution toward programmable, cloud-native, and AI-native 6G networks through autonomous orchestration, intent-based networking, cloud-edge continuum management, and secure, energy-efficient operations. 🔗 Link to Event
  • Paper Presentations (Dual Feature): Arnau Singla (Researcher of the Space Communications Research Group) will present two papers: "Constellation Management for Inter-Satellite Link Scheduling in NB-IoT Non-Terrestrial Networks" (covering mathematical formulation and resource-optimization trade-offs within the CMS integrated operations scheduler) and "RF-Emulated TN-NTN Testbed for Service Continuity in Emergency Communications" (presenting NTN testbed results for the 6GDIFERENTE project emergency communications demo).
