ECO6G Talks, an initiative of the i2CAT Foundation and the Government of Catalonia, features a series of exclusive interviews with digital ecosystem experts

In 2022, the i2CAT Foundation hosted the highly successful ECO6G, which brought together over 30 international speakers to share exclusive insight about 5G and the future 6G networks from a European perspective. The event, attended by policymakers, program leaders, industry representatives, users, and critical academic players, was followed by more than 22,000 people eager to discover what 6G will become.

As 5G deployment accelerates, 6G is entering an intense active research phase. New projects, enabling policies, and a shared commitment to unleash the potential of 6G technologies. To explore this new paradigm, i2CAT and the Government of Catalonia are proud to present ECO6G Talks.

ECO6G Talks offers exclusive insight into the present and future of 6G research and implementation. It tackles this new challenge from different perspectives: academia, business, and policy. It does not forget citizens and the implications this disruptive technology, alongside others like AI, will have on society. The interviews will be hosted by i2CAT’s Director of Research and Development, Jesús Alonso-Zárate.

In the first interview of the series, Liliana Arroyo, Director General of Digital Society for the Government of Catalonia, will analyse how digital progress needs to address citizen concerns and dissect technology from a humanistic perspective. It will be released on April 22nd.
