All the staff members were called to contribute to the plan during a work session held last May 28th
i2CAT, the Internet Research Center, has contributed for more than 15 years to the creation of an ecosystem of research and innovation in advanced digital technologies that is a benchmark in Catalonia and Europe.
After these years of R & D activity, which is based on an innovative collaboration model among the Administration, companies, citizens and Academia, the i2CAT Foundation has decided to take stock, to figure out about its future and to design a strategic plan 2020 – 2023 that will help the center to meet its future challenges and objectives.
On May 28th the plan strategic pillars identified during the early stages of the process were presented to the i2CAT team members. The presentation was followed by a collaborative session to work on these pillars and gather the contributions provided by all i2CAT’s team members.
The future of i2CAT
The center has always bet on research and innovation as a cornerstone in the construction of the digital society of the future. Therefore, i2CAT will focus on consolidating itself as a benchmark in the generation of knowledge which is leveraged to improve our industry and society, and to empower the citizenship.
During the coming months additional iterations and actions will be carried out to finalize the strategic plan that will draw the roadmap for the next years of activity.
The plan will be presented to the i2CAT’s Board of Trustees on December 2019 for its approval.
