Anoia is the venue for the second Social and Digital innovation Lab: the Anoia-Igualada Collaboratory. This project is impulsed by the Ministry, Igualada City Council, TIC Anoia Association, and the i2CAT Foundation. The pilot test was presented in June 2020, named “CatSud Collaboratory”.

This Collaboratory is a proposal to the challenges of the region and aims to joint innovation, and now it is looking for stakeholders in the territory. The activities of the Collaboratory are focused on the 5G Penedès Area, women empowerment on TIC, and Labs (Mobility, Social and Health, Design).

Framed in the Digital Labs initiative, the Ministry for Digital Policy of the Government of Catalonia aims to deploy interconnected social and innovation labs around the Catalan territory.

A collaboratory is a network of collaboration among administrations, universities, companies, citizenship, and research centers. A network bound to a territory that benefits from the assets and knowledge of various stakeholders to innovate and solve challenges. It is a “lab of labs” because emanates from institutions and key players.
