Arnau Romero Sepúlveda

I am a First Stage Researcher at the i2CAT Foundation and a PhD candidate in Automatics, Robotics, and Computer Vision at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), expecting to finish my thesis in 2026. My professional background includes an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Automatic Control, earned at UPC in 2022.

Key Skills & Impact:

  • Areas of Expertise: Robotics, energy modeling and efficiency, artificial intelligence, and multi-robot orchestration using 5G capabilities.
  • Notable Projects: I have developed innovative solutions such as OROS and REACT—online orchestrators for collaborative connected robots using 5G. My research focuses on deploying these technologies for critical Search-and-Rescue (SAR) scenarios, successfully publishing my findings at top-tier conferences like IEEE ICRA.

Professional Interests: My primary research interests focus on advanced robotics, energy efficiency, multi-robot systems, and sensing technologies. I am passionate about leveraging these fields to develop intelligent, autonomous solutions that align with i2CAT’s mission.
